Re: Blackberry sdk missing in Visual Studio

Ok, I've added the blackberry.invoke.MapsArguments feature but still get the same result I'm afraid.

many thanks!

Re: Blackberry sdk missing in Visual Studio

What is the error and are you using any other features that need to be added?

Thank you for your continued support. I'm away from my development pc at the moment but will post the exact error message and screenshot a bit later on.

Re: Blackberry sdk missing in Visual Studio

Right, I'm back at my PC now - when running the code in the above example I'm getting the following error message:

JVM Error 104

Uncaught:

NullPointerException

Screenshot below:

Then when I click 'Continue' all I'm seeing is this:

bb error 2.jpg

I hope you can help!

Try restarting the simulator

Re: Blackberry sdk missing in Visual Studio

Ok, I've clicked File > Reset on the simulator. That seems to have taken care of the error because I can't reproduce it anymore, however now I get the following screen:

bb empty.jpg

The internet connection on the simulator works (i.e. I can reach www.google.com)

I have also checked the event log, but that seems to be empty.

Re: Blackberry sdk missing in Visual Studio

I think there is a setting in the simulator for GPS and Maps - check that and see how that goes.

Re: Blackberry sdk missing in Visual Studio

Yes I checked that setting and made sure I set a default GPS location, however the problem persists.

I have also checked that the MAPS application works on the simulator - for example: I can find '10 Downing Street, London, UK'.

very confusing...
