Re: Browser cache and "Back" button

I have the same problem and tried the suggested meta header, however, I can still left click or select back to see previous page. I am using the Blackberry 9000 Simulator.

Any idea?

Re: Browser cache and "Back" button

FYI, I posted this as an issue to BlackBerry through their online developer issue tracker, and the response was that this was by design, referring me to http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec13.html#sec13.13.

That KB link posted earlier in this thread was updated when they replied to my issue; it used to recommend the meta header as a way to force a refresh when the user pushes back/escape.  But now it doesn't suggest that anymore.

Re: Browser cache and "Back" button

Those META header must be used under https for BB browser to suppress caching.

Under http, BB browser will try to cache everything no matter how you setup the response header or html  meta header.
