Browser does not render anchor tags

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask,but here goes. I  email messages that has certain custom tags ,such as links and buttons, that render on a normal browser on a pc. But they do not get rendered on the blackberry browser.. Is there something that i need to consider for those tags to get rendered..

Thanks..

I'm not sure I fully understand the question..

You mentioned email.  Are you sending an HTML formatted email to the device?

Re: Browser does not render anchor tags

Sorry that i dint explain it very well .. The email is a normal mail sent across email accounts. The thing is the email contains hyperlinks and buttons which when clicked opens up another compose mail dialog as though u have clicked the actual compose mail button. The email is programatically created in c# and works fine on a regular pc's browser. The problem is when i try to access this , say for eg Gmail through the blackberry browser and open the mail , it does not render neither the link nor the button..

What do i need to do if i need it to be rendered.. I have absolutely no experience in Blackberry Web Development

Re: Browser does not render anchor tags

What simulator/BB are you testing this on?

Is the C# creating javascript?

Is this enabled on the simulator/BB?

Before v4.6 the browser is not dynamic.

Can you post an example of the html generated.

Cheers

The simulator that i am using is 8300. and the c# code does not generate Javascript and i ve already enabled javascript on the simulator.

The Html generated looks like this

<br> <br> click on one of the links below <br>

<a href="mailto:xyz@gmail.com?subject=;body=">click1</a> <br>

 <a href="mailto:xyz@gmail.com?subject=;body=">click2</a><br>

Re: Browser does not render anchor tags

if you create a webpage with just that html it works.

It has to be something else in the html.

Have you tested the validation of the html page - http://validator.w3.org/
