Build a big application using bbUI.js

Hi, we're going to build a big mobile application for BB10, BB7 and Playbook using bbUI.js.
We are facing some troubles with the integration between bbUI.js and other javascript libraries.

We already tried to implement a MVP approach using Backbone.js, Zepto, Underscore.js.
Now we are also evaluating other libraries, like Ember.js and Knockout.
One problem with this approach is that traditional frameworks try to work on the DOM, which is not recommended to do using bbUI.js for performance reasons.

What approach do you suggest to this problem?
