Can't generate debug token with the command line: illegal device ID

The online doc is missing (broken), so I'm assuming that we need to use the PIN found on the about page, but the token generator is not accepting it.

 

Any advice?

It has to be in hex. IE 0x<your pin>.

 

Also use the example that is given from the command, not from their website. I did it the way they stated on their website and half my desktop icons were perma-deleted.

Thanks for the tip! I should have thought about checking the command line help which provides much more info...

This application requests debug tokens from RIM.
Usage:
   blackberry-debugtokenrequest -cskpass <csk-password> -deviceidlist <device-id-list> [-keystore <url> -storepass <password>] [<options>] <debug-token-bar-file>
   blackberry-debugtokenrequest -cskpass <csk-password> (-deviceid <device-id>)+ [-keystore <url> -storepass <password>] [<options>] <debug-token-bar-file>
   blackberry-debugtokenrequest -verify [-keystore <url> -storepass <password>] [<options>] <debug-token-bar-file>
   blackberry-debugtokenrequest -register -cskpass <csk-password> -csjpin <csj-pin> [<options>] <csj-file>
Where:
   -cskpass <csk-password>        - password to encrypt long-lived keys
   <csj-file>                     - input csj file for registration
   -csjpin <csj-pin>              - PIN associated with csj file
   -keystore <url>                - keystore location (defaults to ~/.keystore)
   -storepass <password>          - password for keystore integrity
   <debug-token-bar-file>         - input/output debug token file
   -deviceid <device-id>          - deviceID specified in decimal or hex (0xNNNN)
   -deviceidlist <device-id-list> - file containing a list of deviceIDs
   -register                      - register with RIM signing server using csj file
   -verify                        - verify a signed bar file
<options> are:
   -verbose                       - verbose output when signing/verifying
   -proxyhost <host>              - proxy host
   -proxyport <port>              - port number for connecting to the proxy host
   -proxyusername <username>      - username for the proxy host (optional)
   -proxypassword <password>      - password for the proxy host (optional)
Examples:
Registers using csk password 'rocket11', csj pin '746398' and csj file 'client-PBDT-7364904417.csj'
   blackberry-debugtokenrequest -register -cskpass rocket11 -csjpin 746398 client-PBDT-7364904417.csj
Requests a debug token 'dt.bar' for devices with IDs '12345678' and '13572468' using keystore 'mykey.p12', keystore password 'keypass12'
   blackberry-debugtokenrequest -cskpass rocket11 -deviceid 12345678 -deviceid 13572468 -keystore mykey.p12 -storepass keypass12 dt.bar
Verifies the signature(s) on the debug token 'dt.bar' using keystore 'mykey.p12', and keystore password 'keypass12'
   blackberry-debugtokenrequest -verify -keystore mykey.p12 -storepass keypass12 dt.bar
