- Your version of the BlackBerry Web Plug-in

- The BlackBerry OS version number running on the simulator

Re: Cannot run blackberry widget application using the Visual Studio 2008 Debugger

- Your version of windows (XP, Win7, 32/64 bit)Wndows  XP

- Your version of the BlackBerry Web Plug-in : 2.5

- The BlackBerry OS version number running on the simulator: above 5

Actually was able to run debugger properly when i first made installation for plug-in but after  working on it for past week and doing following things like :

1.running the Clean MSDOS Batch file in location :C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Widget Packager\simpack\5.0.0.469

2. Deleting dump files and files in fledge-2 folder because my simulator was giving errors. [followed your previous post]

3.and THIRDLY  I THINK AFTER I RUN BBWP MYTEST.ZIP file from command prompt it started coming??

............. Anyways i have uninstalled and installed plugin again and problem still persisit .

Question 2

One more query  when i made a new project for RSS Reader application from Blackberry SDK by making i m getting two javascript errors :

1. if (blackberry.ui.menu.getMenuItems().length > 0) { in common.js (menu is undefined i guesss)

2. timer is undefined

Question 3

i have set the foreground start page : http://localhost:11501/WebSite2/Default.aspx and set http://localhost:11501/ in permission set in config. how can i reduce asp.net content returned to minimal as this approach is slow. please suggest?

Question 4  IMPORTANT

how can i use my blackberry features available in widget and seen through config file like blackberry.io. file .. etc in my aspx pages in asp.net??

[ Edited ]

Cannot create folder using in VS2008

blackberry.io.dir.createNewDir(file:///store/mayank);

just to add to above ... i think debugger problem started coming after my machine shut off while simulator was open in my machine ...

QUESTION 5

is there is any way that i can make UI using plug-in in VS2008 and use that UI in java console or make rest of my blackberry app in JAVA??

QUESTION 6

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
    <title></title>

    <script language="javascript" >

        function GetRSSNews() {
            alert('hii');
            var iMax = 6

            var rssDoc = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLDOM")
            rssDoc.async = false
            rssDoc.load("http://online.wsj.com/xml/rss/3_7086.xml")

            var headNode = rssDoc.selectNodes("/rss/channel")
            var itemNodes = rssDoc.selectNodes("/rss/channel/item")

            if (itemNodes.length < iMax) {
                iMax = itemNodes.length
            }

            var feedBody = ""

            for (i = 0; i < iMax; i++) {
                feedBody = feedBody + "<p><a   href='" + itemNodes.item(i).getElementsByTagName("link").item(0).text + "'>" + itemNodes.item(i).getElementsByTagName("title").item(0).text + "</a></p>"
            }

            myFeeds.innerHTML = feedBody
        }

    </script>

</head>
<body>
<span id="myFeeds" >   here</span>
<a onclick="GetRSSNews()">clicj here</a>
</body>
</html>

ABOVE HTML page works fine in IE to get RSS feeds so

can't i load RSS feeds using above code in javascript? as when i run above javascript code in Blackberry simulator storm 9550 it throws error  "ActiveXObject is not defined". is there simpler alternative for this??

and can u please send me the running code for RSS Reader or small POC on how to read and render RSS Feeds on my blackberry mobile.please send the same on on my emailID: mayank.world@gmail.com .

Your help will be really appreciated as i wasnt to parse and show RSS feeds  VERY URGENTLY Smiley Sad

PLEASE SEND SIMPLE SAMPLE FOR RSS FEEDS!!
