I am new to blackberry development. I just developed a small program and now trying to sign it using the code signing tool. I got the 3 CSI files after doing the registration process and now trying to execute them. When I double click on any of those 3 files and accept to generate a new set of key pair, the dialog just disappears and nothing seem to happen after that. I don't know what to expect from this. Any help would be appreciated. I am trying this in Windows Vista Business and I am trying to run the csi files from C:\BlackBerry_4.0\bin folder

Following the suggestion from some other thread, tried the command line java -jar SignatureTool.jar with the csi file and this was the result:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: defaultCloseOpera
tion must be one of: DO_NOTHING_ON_CLOSE, HIDE_ON_CLOSE, or DISPOSE_ON_CLOSE
When I tried the same with javaw, it behaved the same way as the double click - it opened the dialog asking me to create a new key pair, when I clicked yes, the dialog disappeared and nothing happened after that.

Please can you give us more information about the environment:
Which version of the JDE are you using?
Which version of java SDK?
Hope we can help you with that information.

Thanks Fred for the response.
- The JDE version is 4.0 (Help | About doesn't show any version though)
- The JDK version I am using is 1.6.0_21
- OS is Windows Vista Business SP1
Thanks for your help

This can occur if an incorrect version of JDK is used. JDE 4.0 doesn't support JDK 1.6. This article explains:
The signature key window disappears after receiving the private key prompt
