Convert ARM to WAV

I'm using the blackberry.media.microphone to record audio in my application

and till now i successfully did it with recording wav file. But one of our test device is

blakcberry 9530 (CDMA)

and i read in the microphone documentation that CDMA mobiles support only amr file format.

 PlayBookBB OS 5.0, 6.0 (GSM)BB OS 5.0, 6.0 (CDMA)BB OS 7.0
Supported Formats: WAV WAV, AMR AMR WAV, AMR
Bit Depth: 16 16 16 16
Sampling Rate: 44,100Hz 8,000Hz 8,000Hz 8,000Hz
Channels: 1 1 1 1

But in my application, i have to send a base64String of wav file not amr file.

is there any way to convert the amr into wav file????

Re: Convert ARM to WAV

I do not know of any j2ME or javascript libraries to transcode from AMR to WAV, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

In general I'd reccomend that you let a server transcode as it can sometimes be a time and resource intensive process.

Re: Convert ARM to WAV

Is there any way to access the uncompressed byte data and append some bytes of data to make it look like a wav and write it into another file???

If so can you direct me to some appropriate article that can explain who it can be done.
