Data connection: roaming or not?

[ Edited ]

I'd like to add an option to my app to limit automatic downloads when the user is roaming (to minimize international roaming data charges). Is there any way to detect whether the current data connection is a roaming connection?

Re: Data connection: roaming or not?

Hi innovateology,

I've just created a pull request to the deviceInfo native extension to check for roaming status located here:

https://github.com/blackberry/WebWorks-Community-APIs/tree/master/BB10/deviceInfo

The pull request will take a few days to go in, so keep an eye on it, so you can download it once it is available.
