File Explorer

I want to open the blackberry file explorer and select a file and get the path to insert into database, is that possible in the new SDK 2.1

Directly, no.

What you can do is put a standard file picker, let the user pick a file and read its value property to obtain the path.

If you are on the BlackBerry smartphone OS you can try out the FilePicker Community API
