Google Anaylitics Support

Is it safe to assume that GoogleAnalytics code will only run on Blackberry devices running 4.6 and up?

Re: Google Anaylitics Support

Hi jbusby, thanks for your post.

I'm aware that Google Analytics does depend on using JavaScript to inject tracking code into your page source.  Support for DOM L2 events (dynamic modification of the document object model) were introduced in 4.6. Therefore I would say that yes it is safe to assume that you would not be able to experience the ful capabilities of the Google Analytics code on BlacKBerry Smartphones prior to version 4.6 of the handheld software.

If you are able to serve static page content in this scenario, removing the dependancy on DOM L2 support, perhaps that might act as a workaround for pre 4.6 devices?
