HTML Audio tag is support in Blackberry Torch 9800

Hi All,


   I have developed the simple web application...It contains the one audio file..Which is playing in Ripple Emulator..But it doesn't appear in Blackberry device..Why HTML audio is not support in Blackberry device...Anybody know please help me........Thanks in Advance.....


Here i attached my HTML Audio code.....

<audio autoplay="autoplay" controls ="controls">
<source src="http://www.robtowns.com/music/blind_willie.mp3" type="audio/mpeg" />
Audio element not supported.


It works well in Ripple Emulator.....But not in Blackberry Torch 9800..

Toch 9800 runs on Blackberry OS 7.1. Blackberry browser in V7 does not support AUDIO tag.

On BlackBerry OS, we've supported the <audio> element since BBOS 6.0:



That was when we adopted the WebKit engine as opposed to the proprietary engine in BBOS5 and earlier.


Just as a sanity check, can you try your test with a local file? (i.e. package an audio file with your actual application?)


Since you are reaching out to an external URL, it may be that you haven't white-listed the external URL in your config.xml?
