HTML5 FileAPI / requestFileSystem on playbook

Does the HTML5 FileAPI work for WebWorks apps on the playbook?

After being promised that apps developed for the playbook would work seamlessly on the BB10, I had to spend hours rewriting the io.file and io.dir to asynchronous FileAPI calls, which works great on the BB10 but not the playbook?

Every call to window.webkitRequestFileSytem comes back with a SECURITY_ERR.

Re: HTML5 FileAPI / requestFileSystem on playbook

Requesting the file system is different on the PlayBook and BB10.

As for me, I prefer the PlayBook api which is more convenient to use, but BB choose the HTML5 standard for BB10. I'm not sure if it's possible to build a file browser with the BB10 api, navigating through directories looks very hard to manage with asynchronous api calls...

If your app is ok on BB10, just wait the PlayBook BB10 update.

By the way, any news about this update ???
