HTML5 Workers in 5.0

I'm trying to get workers setup for both 5.0 and 6.0 applications, so I downloaded and added the following files in a test html file:

script type="text/javascript" src="<path to file>/html5_init.js" id="html5_init"></script

script type="text/javascript" src="<path to file>/html5_worker.js"></script

(disregard the missing < & >, the Forum editor didn't like it)

Just with those 2, I get an error in a debug simulator (8530)... I've seen this unanswered in older post:

TypeError: Cannot convert 'undefined' to an object.

at BB\html5_worker.js in function (html5_worker.js:36)

Now this is without any code on my end, just putting those 2 script includes on my page.  So looking a little deeper and noticed that wp is not created because google.gears.workerPool doesn't exist, nor can I see anything in the html5_init.js file that will create a property of the google.gears object called workerPool.  So without digging deep into this code (which defeats the purpose of why it was made available to us), I was hoping someone can shed some light on this topic.  Perhaps I'm just missing something simple.

Thanks,
