I have the following code:
/ / Insert video
var video = document.createElement ('video');
video.controls = true;
video.autoplay = true;
document.getElementById ('video'). appendChild (video);
Ripple simulator in the video perfectly. But in Device Simulator v. 10.2 the video does not work! I've tried everything, just does not run. Squeeze play and nothing happens.
I thought it was some bug in the simulator and subjected to bb app world. The release was disapproved because the video continues to not work.

The most common reason why videos do not play in the simulator is because of a missing codec. Licenses for certain video codecs are not applied to simulators. For this type of testing, you will need to use an actual device.

Adam's 'try it on a device' is perfectly sound advice and without more info such an issue is hard to diagnose
I would suggest that you take the 'bad' video and work out what;s inside it
A very nice tool to discover this is MediaInfo (its free)
This will tell you whats going on but not why things don't work using the View->Sheet option
Most likely, you have an older media clip
In the case of anything with the file extension MP4 you should be OK
If its an AVI it's a toss-up
An AVI MAY be encoded with a compatible CODEC but this is not always true (got an issue like that with my up-coming app)
Assuming you own the rights to the content you can use AVIDEMUX2 to recode the video to X264 / AAC
