HTTP 500 Error while invoking RESTful service from Torch

Hello,

My app is done using JQueryMobile wrapped in phoneGap. Everything runs fine in Simulator (Torch 9800 6.0.0227).

But unfortunately the app deployed to the device would give HTTP 500 error  for code below:

var req = new XMLHttpRequest();
req.open('GET', myURL, true);
req.onreadystatechange = function (aEvt) {
  if (req.readyState == 4) {
	if(req.status == 200){
         // handle the response
        }
	else{
	    alert ("req status text = " + req.statusText);
	    alert ("req status code = " + req.status);
        }
  }
  else{
	alert("req.readyState = " + req.readyState);
   }
}

 I have  'Error requesting resource' as status text, and 500 as status code shown in the alert boxes. Also the state 2, and 3 were logged.

Naturally I looked at the server side because of the 500 error code, but server is never hit.

I found this post: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Bold-BlackBerry-9000/HTTP-Error-500-Internal-Serve..., but don't know if it indeed provides the solution, however it does sound like the request call is hijacked before it reach my server.

Can someone provides me some documentation in how to configure the BES server or MDS to address this issue? I am in development and not very familiar with admin side of Blackberry server.

Thanks!!
