How do I set up my PlayBook for testing apps?

My question is: How do I set up my PlayBook for testing apps?

Here's what I did:

After recieving an email by BlackBerry with the Debug Token .csj file I followed a link which was in the mail.

http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/23959/Running_unsigned_apps_debug_tokens_15850...

I wanted to "Install a debug token from the command line" so i followed the steps.

I got my IP-adress, I put the PlayBook into Development-Mode and pressed "Upload Debug Token".

Then I went into my terminal and typed in:

/Developer/SDKs/Research\ In\ Motion/BlackBerry\ WebWorks\ SDK\ for\ TabletOS\ 2.0.0.4/bbwp/blackberry-tablet-sdk/bin/blackberry-deploy -installDebugToken /Users/User/Coding/Playbook/DebugToken/client-PBDT-xxxxxxx.csj  -device xxxxxx -password xxxxxxx

The output is:

  1. Sending Install Debug Token request...
  2. Info: Action: Install Debug Token
  3. Info: File size: 100
  4. Error: failed to install debug token

Is there anything I forgot?

I'm using the latest SDK on Mac OS X 10.6 and latest PlayBook OS.

Thanks for your help! I'll give Kudos for answers that help me!

Did you click the button in the security page on the Playbook to listen for the debug token install request? You can't just install it like an app, you need to first click the button to accept the install request.

Re: How do I set up my PlayBook for testing apps?

Yes - I did do that... But what I forgot to do was "Create a debug token for your device" (item 2 on http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/23959/Create_a_debug_token_cmd_line_1585437_11... ) - I was trying to install the csj file as a debug token! Silly me - should have read the steps more carefully!

Looking at the original post from this thread, I think that user has the same problem!
