I don't seem to able to find this topic in this forum and plesae bear with me if this question has been asked many times before.
Is there a good solution to disable elastic scrolling so apps developed using jQuery Mobile have a more native app feel. I am using jQueryMobile-BB10-Theme as my base but I think this is a general issue with jQuery Mobile.
I know bbUI.js can disable this feature that but I can't switch to that framework for now. May be next project. Thx.

I've looked into the source, and JQM BlackBerry 10 Theme 'latest' dists contain the native inertia scrolling. (-webkit-overflow-scrolling).
Have you tried using these in your project?

Yes, I have been using the distributing build and I saw no new update in last two months.
I see there is one instance of -webkit-overflow-scrolling defined in the css file but it only applies to bb10-panel and I am not even using this widget.
To clarify a bit, I just have a standard fixed header, footer and a content in the middle. I want the header and footer to be truly fixed, not having inertia scrolling effect. It seems this is the shortcoming using jQuery Mobile. I tried the bundled Kitchen Sink app and observd the same behavior.

Can you file an issue in the issue tracker please? I will see that it gets attention:
For now, take a look at this article. It has code samples for layouts just like the one you are looking for:

Yes, I have filed an issue and hopefully this can be addressed soon.
I tried the flex box codes on my alpha and indeed it works great. No inertia scrolling on header/footer. Feel much more like a native app. I will see if I can borrow some css ideas over to my app....
