How to use Adam Stanley's template and AIR Native extensions

[ Edited ]

I have a web works app which needs to interact with native C code in playbook.

The app uses adobe air native extensions to make the native call, from a HTML

UI. I am following the below 2 tutorials for the same :

https://github.com/astanley/WebWorks-Community-APIs/tree/master/Tablet/TEMPLATE

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Tablet-OS-SDK-for-Adobe-AIR/Creating-AIR-Native-Extensions-fo...

The "Creating Sample Air Application" part from the second link, needs to be done in HTML using Adam

Stanley's template.

My question is once I have built the ane file(com.example.ane as shown in tutorial link #2),how do I integrate it with the UI which uses the Adam Stanley template (that is call the ane library from the Template.as tutorial link #1).

Do I need to copy the ane part into the fielder C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry WebWorks SDK for TabletOS\bbwp\ext\Template or package the native extension code along with the bar file or something ?

This isn't something that we can really support, but it should be possible. You'll need to include the .ane in the extension I think, and you'll need to have it referenced correctly from your Air code. Some experimentation will be necessary since I think very few people have done this.
