How to whitelist i.p address

Please I will like to know if i can whitelist an i.p address in my config.xml file in a webworks application.

If possible, how is it done.

Have you tried to do this:

with an IP address to see if it works?

hi,try updating url whitelisting required url as below in ur config.xml
<access uri="https://somedomain.com" subdomains="true">
<feature id="blackberry.app" version="1.0.0.0" required="true"/>
<feature id="blackberry.invoke" version="1.0.0.0" required="true"/>
</access>

if you are tring to access external url than it must have domain name. if you are doing any kind of POC than try to use

<access uri ="*"/>
 
it should work.

Whitelists are for getting restricted data from - e.g. Google Maps

 

Here's an example of me talking to a local server...

 

    <access uri="http://192.168.0.31" subdomains="true" />

If your app needs to use internal BB extensions to normal HTML5 this requires a small modification along the lines of...

 

    <access uri="http://192.168.0.31" subdomains="true">

    <feature id="blackberry.app" version="1.0.0.0" required="true"/>
    <feature id="blackberry.invoke" version="1.0.0.0" required="true"/>

   </access>

 

This is the most often mistake people make with whitelists
