I'm in trouble that I can't use multibyte charactors in Channel Push Title(not PAP Push). According to displayed charactor, Blackberry looks the string is cognized as UTF-8. So, I encoded the title to utf-8.
String pushTitle = new String("---Japanese String---".getBytes("utf-8"), "utf-8");
But I resolve the trouble. If you have a information about treating multibyte charactor in Push, Could you

What BlackBerry model and handheld software version are you testing with? You can find this under Options, About on the BlackBerry handheld.
Is the BlackBerry handheld software version you are running able to render Japanese characters? Note that the characters/font sets available vary based on the languages supported in a particular version of BlackBerry handheld software.

Thank you for your reply, Mark.
I use 8707 for docomo simulator to develop web application. The icon titles of Regular application (ex.Mail) on home screen are displayed as Japanese normally. But the icon title pushed as channel is displayed abnormally. So I guess the charactor code of "X-RIM-Push-Title" HTTP header causes the trouble.
