Re: Idea for RIM: on-device development

Adam,

Is it possible for developers to sideload their apps onto a BlackBerry PlayBook using the micro-usb?
Can you please confirm/deny.

Why would we want to do this?
Testing features that require a physical device: such as touch events, accelerometer, html5 geolocation etc... that cannot be tested via the Beta 3 Simulator.

Thanks!

Re: Idea for RIM: on-device development

I'd think/assume/hope we can just blackberry-deploy -installApp onto our device like we do on the simulator. It would be crazy if that weren't possible.

P.S. bonus points for RIM if we can do it over WiFi rather than by having the device connected through USB Smiley Wink

You can side load your application either through the USB cable or via WiFi using the deploy tools
