It will ask you the target platform on start, so that it will only show relevant fields. Future version will add more things and some validation to the values entered.

I just had a look and it is a good start. Have you considered contributing it into Ripple tooling? A config editor has been on the list for a long time yet we never seem to get to it.
We'd love to have some help on this.

Are you registered as an Open Source contributor yet? A bit of paper work and you're good to go.
The Ripple tool comes with an NPAPI plugin and a node.js build/deploy functionality built right in. It means we can pretty much do anything we want, outside of the security context of a chrome plugin. Hence the cause of some pain on install. That is the good part. The bad part is that nothing but the UI is open sourced at this time. The rest is all OSS friendly, it just takes resources on our end to wrap things up and make it happen.
So, start the discussion in Github on how it would fit into the experience and we can help with our thoughts on how it can actually write to the file system. If it gets some momentum in the design of it, and some community support/help, we'll do our part.
