Issue with package ID

I  am having two apps with the same package ID . This was an error in the config file but I uploaded both the apps ; Is there any way to resolve this?

Re: Issue with package ID

Do you mean both apps have already been uploaded to BlackBerry World?  If so, in order to change one of these app's packageID, you will need to create a new bundle and disable the old one for the app in the vendor portal.  The portal will not allow you to upload a new version of the BAR file for the same bundle if it has a different package ID (You'll see a red error message if you try to do this).

Re: Issue with package ID

The obvious thing is just to change the package ID

e.g. fred.1234 becomes harry.4567

If compiling for multiple platforms I suggest pre-fixing the ID with, eg, Q10, Z10, PB or whatevery you need as then they won't ever clash

In the event of a multi-platform app I constantly (annoyingly) get nan already signed - e,g, Playboom + BB10 without any changes required - in that situation its either up the ID or use the above suggestion
