Launching a doc into DocsToGo?

Suppose I write an app in webworks that generates a XLS/Doc  file format and saves this locally such that it can be seen as file://.....

How do I invoke/launch this file into the DocsToGo such that the enduser clicks on my file link in my app and the doc opens up in DocsToGo?

Re: Launching a doc into DocsToGo?

Hi there,

After doing a few test samples here, I looks like you won't be able to seamlessly open the XLS from your app in another.  It will prompt the user to save the file, which they would have to manually open in the proper app, i.e.. DocsToGo in your case.

How does the File Manager app do it then? Or are they allowed to do it because it is a system app?
