Local Images rendering late

Hi! my app is based on 5 tabs when I switch the tab the images on that tabs takes minutes to render on screen and the tab switching is also very slow and frustrating.

the images are located in the images folder inside the .cod file

Thanks

Webworks, a very regretful platform to work, can't load the images properly on the same page, within the tabs. Worked hours to fix it but still I'm nowhere.

@zubair01,

Try reducing you image quality.
I have an App that uses a PhoneGap plugin to take some pictures using the camera, and when i need to view it, it take a little do show up the hole image, because it's a little big.
My device is a BB 9300 Curve.

Zubair,

How did you build your tabs? Are you using divs that dynamically expose/hide content on a single page? How big are the images and how many are you loading?

thanks both of you, I'm using jquery .show and .hide to switch tabs nothing fancy, and the size of the images are around 10kb and have 30 images.

Ah, you said the J-word Smiley Happy JQuery is too heavy and slow for mobile devices. I'm 99% certain that's your issue. It does a lot of live DOM manipulation which is very expensive.

As a test, you can make a blank page containing all 30 images in <img> tags. That will isolate the image load and you can see if it's the issue.
