Lock out other controls when in an app

Hi All,

Trying to figure out how you would programatically using javascript (or in the config.xml file?) lock out most/all other controls when in an app? Searched but can't find anything.

Thanks.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "lock out other controls"... Could you expand more on what you're trying to accomplish?

Cheers

Re: Lock out other controls when in an app

When in an app, I would like to lock the buttons on the device so they dont do anything. Does that makes sense?

It "can" be done on a BlackBerry Smartphone.  I do encourage you to make sure that your user isn't stranded in your app Smiley Happy

You can trap the onHardwareKey event

Re: Lock out other controls when in an app

Ok so only on a smartphone, not on the playbook. Gotcha! Thanks. And yes, i have already kept it in mind not to trap thm in the app. LOL Smiley Happy That definitely wouldn't make for a good user experience.
