Re: Need someone to walk me through building to device.

Alright I've enabled it. The debug token has expired though. Also just to confirm I put the development IP Address in the bb10.ip field?

Re: Need someone to walk me through building to device.

Yes, use the IP address. It should default to 169.254.0.1 for the usb port.

You can create a new debug token, but it's not necessary. You can just do production or beta build and it will sign it so it doesn't need a debug token.

The device doesn't appear when I switch device on the blackberry desktop software. It's a Z10.

Re: Need someone to walk me through building to device.

It won't. That software doesn't support the new devices. You shouldn't have to do a switch device though, since you are just using it for testing.

Re: Need someone to walk me through building to device.

Huh, I figured the drivers were the issue again because when I try to deploy I get

build.deploy.bb10.device.prod:
[exec] Error: Cannot connect: Network is unreachable: connect. Please check IP address settings for the target. Try to ping the target.
     [exec] Result: 1

 In buildTasks.xml I have:

    <property name="device.bb10.ip" value="169.254.0.253"/>

Which is the deveopement IP Address

Re: Need someone to walk me through building to device.

Drivers might still be. They should install automatically from the phone though. You can download the BlackBerry Link software to make sure they are installed.

In the meantime, you can use the device's wifi address to deploy as well.

Re: Need someone to walk me through building to device.

Finally! Built and deployed successfully on the Z10. Thank you for the help this far. For the BB7 device however, what are we going to have to do to get it on device?

Will need to find things to trim in the app. Maybe some images can be scaled or compressed? Other assets that could be downloaded on first launch or something like that? I don't think you need to get rid of much, possibly only a few hundred KB.

Do you know any good tools for reducing the size of images, I completely removed two images just to get it down to size.

OptiPNG and PNGCrush are good ones. Or are they JPEGS? I don't know any tools for that off the top of my head.
