Am not doing any development for Blackberry as such. My purpose is to try to create a testing enviroment using QTP and to test web application developed for BB.
Currently since QTP can recognize the simulator, but not the browser within, the testing is just limited to navigation and minor functions, which will not serve the purpose.
Though this may sound more QTP related, my question is more on the simulator and the embedded browser.
1. Is it possible to launch BB browser as a standalone app, lets say from command line, other than from within the simulator.
2. What other options are available lets say from within eclipse to launch just the browser app.
3. What are the visible properties of the browser to an external environment ? Am I correct to say the browser is java based ?
Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated.

And just to add on to the above.
I tried launching the simulator through the command line through fledge using the sample script
It launches fine, but then the out put is not as expected.
It is always :
Connecting to Fledge session "8700c"... connected.
System: first idle
I use \BlackBerry Device Simulators 4.1.0\Device Simulators 220.127.116.119\
Tried various models but the result is the same.
Am I missing something. Tks
