Re: No Iframe Support Blackberry Torch 9800

I'll pass it to our testing team to see if they can reproduce and understand what is going on inside of webworks and iframes.

If you don't hear back in this thread in a couple of days with any findings.. bump it... I'm subscribed to about 200+ threads in the forums and try to answer posts in-between management meetings and in my free time outside of work Smiley Happy

Responses can fall between the cracks because of the sheer volume of threads that I'm trying to help out on.

Re: No Iframe Support Blackberry Torch 9800

Understood...

The weird part is that I've seen iframes work inside of a WebWorks application on BB 6.0.  We have our Advertising API team who are working on delivering their capability as an embedded iframe and they haven't been running into issues.

By no means am I saying that you aren't having issues.. What I'm trying to figure out is why your use case differs from what we know is working....

We'll dig in and and figure it out

Re: No Iframe Support Blackberry Torch 9800

Hmmm.. Just thought of something...

Are you using the WebWorks focus based navigation mode to click into this iframe?  our using the "mouse cursor" or touch screen?

Re: No Iframe Support Blackberry Torch 9800

I just tried out the source from your initial post in a simple WebWorks application using the WebWorks SDK v1.5.1 and the Eclipse tooling.  I tested it out on the included 6.0.0.227 Torch 9800 simulator from the Eclipse WebWorks plug-in.

When I tried this, it didn't have any problems for me in the simulator.  I have attached the source zip that I used.  If you can try building and running the application to confirm that it does or doesn't work for you that would be great

I tried it both with trackpad Navigation mode turned on and off in the config.xml

Re: No Iframe Support Blackberry Torch 9800

I test it with exacltly the same files you provided in the iframe.zip file you post.

And Sorry it does not work.

It shows but when you click the link it only shows a white page (The same Error).

I am in Windows XP 32 bits Using Eclipse

Build id: 20090920-1017

And the simulator is 6.0.0.141 (9800)

My Eclipse Version do not include the simulator so i am building it with the version we use to develop OS 5 apps and then open the simulator manually and load the .cod build.

How did you test this ?

[ Edited ]

Sorry i did not read your previus post  indicating the version.

I am using BlackBerry_Web_Tools_2.0.0.201003191451-33

I am going to download and test everything with the very same version you describe.

Re: No Iframe Support Blackberry Torch 9800

it Works!!!

It was the SDK version.

I was using 2.5 after i download and install the 2.5.1 everything worked just fine.

What confuseme was the fact that in the real device i observed the same error, maybe the erros was compiled into the .cod.

Thanks a lot Tim finally i resolve my issue.
