We're writing an app where we have to open an external video player (as flowplayer or JWplayer).
The problem we have is that the first time we open the page (that has a <VIDEO> tag in it), by default the standard (native) player takes control.
Pressing back from the player the html page with the external player is properly shown and for any further action (play/pause/..) the native player does not run anymore and the external one works perfectly.
Is there any way to avoid the native player to start automatically when the page is loaded first time?
thanks for any help

Other web experts from BlackBerry (or otherwise) can correct me here as appropriate:
I think you can add webkit-plays-inline to the video tag and it will not go full screen automatically; that should allow you to avoid the full screen web player UI. Did you already try this?

This functionality and how to avoid it is documented here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Web-and-Web
I know you've tried webkit-plays-inline but it's actually webkit-playsinline. See above URL for more info.

I try with this code:
<video width="768" webkit-playsinline="webkit-playsinline" controls> <source src="http://content.bitsontherun.com/videos/wDqjiZXZ-m0
JsjUy0.mp4" type="video/mp4"> </video>
