I am developing a web application that runs on opera mini and native blackberry browser. My application includes map, images and many more. I will be developing with help of WML.

Re: Opera mini as browser

Ya I will surely elaborate my question like i want to know that if i use Opera mini as my browser in Blacberry then will it support google map in the device.

I will be using various models of Blackberry ranging from 7250 to Storm.

And my web apllication should also run on the default browser of blackberry.

Thank you,

nimesh

Re: Opera mini as browser

do I understand your need correctly ?

you are currently designing a rich website that uses the Google Maps API to display Google Maps on the webpage. You would like your website to be compatible with several smartphone browsers, such as the Nokia browser, the BlackBerry Storm browser (aka browser 4.7), BOLT browser, or Opera Mini browser.

the answer is : no.
the 4.7 Browser is not compatible with the AJAX functions in the GMaps API, I don't know how Opera Mini and BOLT browser deal with it.

Re: Opera mini as browser

Are you asking whether the Opera Browse can interact with Google Maps installed on a BlackBerry?

Yes you are right on that part.

And I want both the browsers working on different device i.e. Opera Mini Browser and Native BlackBerry Browser.

Thanks

Re: Opera mini as browser

me and jwargo are talking about two opposite things. I am talking about AJAX with an API that connects to the Google Maps server directly,
jwargo is talking about javascript connecting to a local application installed on the BlackBerry device.
