PME embedding in webpage

Hi, I was experimenting to add rich media end animations to Blackberry websites.

Unfortunately PME doesnt show up in the object tag I place on the website: http://www.xs2theworld.com/jw/xs2.html

When I connect directly with my Bold to the PME it does work: http://www.xs2theworld.com/jw/xs2.pme

I also saw never an example of a PME in a website, allthough it is mentioned in the Blackberry docs that it should work. Has anyone a tip?

With kind regards,

Jan Willem

Re: PME embedding in webpage

Hi Jan,

To embed a PME file correctly, you need to ensure that a MIME type named "application/x-vnd.rim.pme" is setup on your web server for ".pme" file types, and that you reference this MIME type in the OBJECT element used in your page content.

Here's an example of how your OBJECT tag should be defined:

<object name="pme_sample" data="http://www.xs2theworld.com/jw/xs2.pme" type="application/x-vnd.rim.pme"> </object>
