Problem resizing Base64 image from camera to canvas

[ Edited ]

I posted a question to Stackoverflow thinking my code was wrong but people are saying it looks fine.

http://stackoverflow.com/q/15192343/773263

What I'm doing is trying to take an image from

<input id="picture" type="file" accept="image/*" capture="camera" style="display:none;">

Then I capture the user's selection in the variable 'image' (I have verfied that it captured correctly even sent it to my server and saved to jpg with PHP, worked fine).

The problem occurs when I try to use the following code to resize the image

ctx.drawImage(image,0,0,1836,3264,0,0,739,1162);

Something shows up on the canvas but it appears to be an extremely zoomed in version of the picture.
