Problem with number of files?

Hello guys,

I have a trouble with compilation of some projects...

I realize that when my project has 201 files in total (including config.xml, assets directory and ext directory) it doesn't compile.

If i delete any file (so the project has 200 files in total), the compilation occours succesfuly.

Re: Problem with number of files?

Maybe there's a problem between bbwp.exe and rapc.exe.
I think bbwp calls rapc by command line and it has a limit on command-line.

There's a workaround for this problem ?

Re: Problem with number of files?

An application on a BlackBerry smartphone has a 7MB maximum size limit.  If your contents and the framework of the webworks application exceeds 7MB once it is compiled you will have exceeded the system limit.

Re: Problem with number of files?

Hello tneil,

Well, i found the problem and a solution.

The thing is: My project wasn't been limited by size, it was by number of files (200).
I realized that BB released a SDK 2.0 (i was using 1.5) and i tryied to compile with the 2.0 and everthing works fine!
The problem is how bbwp.exe communicates with rapc.exe, perhaps it tryies to send the files by command-line and it has a limit. With the new sdk, it uses a temp file with all commands. That's why it works.

About the 7MB maximum size, i can't say anything, because my applications are around 3-4mb. But good to know, so i can put in my documentations.

That's it.
