Publishing forms and web applications

Hi all

I have 2 questions regarding balckberry web development:

1)  is it possible to create electronic forms and process the data?

2) how can I deploy my application and download it to my phone ?

Thanks a lot,

Re: Publishing forms and web applications

Hi There,

Can you give more details on what you mean by "electronic forms"?  There are lots of different ways to build applications for BlackBerry and with a more detailed description of what you wish to accomplish we can get you set in the right direction.

Cheers

Re: Publishing forms and web applications

Hi tneil,

in our company we use electronic forms that follow a specific workflow in each case,

such as vacation request,I usually build it using asp.net, is it possible to have it as an application in my black berry?

Thank you,

Re: Publishing forms and web applications

Yes, you are able to do this on a BlackBerry.  You can create your ASP.NET website and then open it up with the BlackBerry Browser.

I would recommend checking out the reference guides for the Browser to see what HTML/JS/CSS is supported across the different OS versions.

Re: Publishing forms and web applications

You'll probably need a Code Signing Tool to sign your .cod files before being able to put them on your device. Once that is done, you can just simply install using a desktop manager.
