Hello Web Tech Devs!
This one comes from the another corner of dev world but it could have some impacts here.
Digia announced on Qt Blog: Introducing the Qt WebEngine
TLDR, they will start using Blink (Chromiun) as their Web Engine instead of WebKit (Apple). Mainly because the former is technicaly better than the latter on a few points. The post is big but interesting so I thought was worth sharing.
How does this impact BlackBerry?
Will BB10's browser switch to Blink too? Was it considered?
What about WebWorks apps?
Qt has QtWebKit (their own port) but AFAIK it was not available on QNX yet. Does this mean that QNX will or should wait for Qt 5.3 and support the new WebEngine?
I know, not immediate concerns but it would be cool to get some discussion going with the dev community.
Please share your thoughts and more facts if you have some.

>> How does this impact BlackBerry?
It will definitely be evaluated. Qt is already supported on BlackBerry 10, and so a future upgrade may be beneficial to the development community. However, at this point in time, nothing has been announced.
>> Will BB10's browser switch to Blink too? Was it considered?
Browser team is always evaluating future technolgies. However no public decisions are available yet.
>> What about WebWorks apps?
WebWorks apps continue to share the same web rendering engine as the browser and runtime.

Not able to provide an answer at this time.
