Ripple emulator inaccurate

Ripple doesn't accurately emulate a Torch

The simulator accurately messes up as does my physical device

I can't give the address of the website out (NDA)

Any comments are welcome

Re: Ripple emulator inaccurate

Can you let us know what it is messing up?  is it layout? is it a WebWorks API?

Today Ripple is using Chrome to emulate the mobile browser so it will be a bit different than the Torch.  We are enhancing Ripple to use more "Fedelity Rendering" of mobile devices as we continue to improve it

Re: Ripple emulator inaccurate

I wish I knew what the problem was

Works on Droid, iPhone, Bada, webOS and even Nokia (even I found that one hard to believe)

I'm doing a full debug to identify the cause tomorrow

I'll fill you in on what I discover as soon as I know what I don't know ATM

All I can tell you is that if you go to a particular site it works in ripple but not on the £400 phone I purchased for development six weeks ago

Oh - I had to re-write the touch system to make it hookable as well (that was less than fun)

Try doing a Google on Draggable auto DIVs (no solution works) - mine does
