Any way to test my app using Ripple for 5.X? All the simulators are for +6.X

Re: Ripple for BB 5.X

Ripple does not include profiles for BlackBerry Smartphone 5.0 software.  There was intent to add them in, however due to how different the web rendering engines are between OS 5.0 and BlackBerry 6 (previously MIDP Java engine, now WebKit) there was concern that the experience that could be offered would be accurate enough to make valuable to developers.

Note: you can still find 5.0 simulators here:

Re: Ripple for BB 5.X

I've got the same problem as you, I wanted to support BBOS5, but during tests I found out that there is so much glitches in it's web browser that in the I dropped support for this version.

Re: Ripple for BB 5.X

Thank you Adam! That is the kind of answer I was waiting for. Now that you explain the problem with MIDP is very easy.

I really apreciate your help.
