Saving data between app launches OS 5

I'm trying to save my app data between launches of my app.

For OS 6 works well HTML5 Local Storage and WebDB.

Hear that Gears can help me. But  I couldn-t implement it on OS 5

Have anyone working code sample or app?

Re: Saving data between app launches OS 5

Have you checked out the HTML5 javascript toolkit that will let you use your HTML5 javascript from 6.0 back on 5.0?

Yes I've cheked it out.

The main inconvenience is that it doesn't works fine in BB devices without memory card.

I'm thinking around JavaScript extensoin, witch will use Java Persistance Store mechanism.

But didn't implement it yet.

Re: Saving data between app launches OS 5

Probably an easier way to accomplish this is to store json files or XML files on the local file system.  You can do this today with the existing file IO api and there isn't any requirement for an SD card.

Not sure how "encrypted" your data needs to be.

Also it is good to note that 99% of all BlackBerry Smarphones ship with an SD card from the carriers.

Hmm... Sounds like nice variant.

But how this file will removes whet application will be uninstalled?

Is any mechanism that can remove this files to avoid memory trash?
