Sharing with BBM, Facebook , Twitter

Is it possible using blackberry.invoke open a browser window with the argument, such as a variable? Suppose I have some text and want to share it on facebook or send it by Blackberry Messeneger. What should I do this? Is it at all possible? Is it in the WebWorks API that supports it?

Thanks!

Re: Sharing with BBM, Facebook , Twitter

You can invoke the browser with a URL which may include arguments in the GET request. See the BrowserArguments api: https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/apis/blackberry.invoke.BrowserArguments.html

You could also invoke a Java App using the JavaArguments api: https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/apis/blackberry.invoke.JavaArguments.html

BBM has it's own set of APIs: https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/apis/blackberry.bbm.platform.html

Re: Sharing with BBM, Facebook , Twitter

Tim W.,

Regarding Java Arguments:

Do you know what the application signature for Native Twitter app is?

In the JavaArgument Docs one example is given:

blackberry.invoke.JavaArguments('net_rim_bb_memo_app');

 Thanks.

Re: Sharing with BBM, Facebook , Twitter

Nevermind. Looks like a new community API was just released to GitHub that exposes sharing to WebWorks.

Yes, I would recommend using that extension. Let us know how it works for you.
