Signature capture

I want to work with a project similar to this article:

How To - Capture Signature on the BlackBerry Storm smartphone

Article Number: DB-00713

but this is a java application. When I download and test the code to a 9550 simulator, doesn't work at all and got an error? I am missing something? Or that sample won't work in simulator, should be in a real device?

My goal is to create an application that user inputs a name and sign, then sent to a remote server as image file (signature). Anyone can help me to achieve even a small step from this?

Re: Signature capture

It would probably be helpful if you would provide the text of the error you received - it's almost impossible to help with the limited information you have provided.
