Socket connection using BB bold 9900 (OS 7.1) hotspot mode

Hello friends, how are you?

I´m using OS 7.1, connecting my laptop to my BB using the hotspot feature.

I have a server socket running on my laptop that is waiting for socket connections on port 4444, and my laptop´s IP (when connected to the BB hotspot is 10.0.0.2).

In my BB I have an application that makes a socket connection to the laptop (socket://10.0.0.2:4444;deviceside=false;interface=wifiSmiley Wink, but it only returns me java.io.IOException: No Wi-Fi connection.

I also tried socket://10.0.0.2:4444;deviceside=true;interface=edge;, but in this case the exception is a Timeout.

Please, does anyone know what is the trick for socket connections using the hotspot feature?

Just highlighting: My BB is sharing Internet connection through the hotspot feature and it has an app that is a socket client. And my laptop is connected to the BB hotspot and has an socket server running.

Many thanks in advance.
