Tools to use to create an application for Playbook

Hope this is the right forum for this question.

I would like to know what’s the best approach/tools to create the following application for Playbook.

Basically it is a simple website that I’d like to package into an application.

The data would be pre-loaded into an SQLite database that would be included in the aspplication.

Each day a random number is selected within a certain range.

Based on this number a certain number of records are retrieved and displayed on the screen.

That’s all, no internet connection is required.

Thank you

Re: Tools to use to create an application for Playbook

You can basically use your favourite web page design tool (ie. Dreamweaver) to develop your HTML, Javascript and CSS.  You can do most of your testing in Chrome as it supports sqllite db's and most of the HTML/Javascript/CSS that you will be using.  The developers tools and javascript console in chrome is also helpful for debugging. You will then want to do testing in the simulator.

I would also suggest looking into the various javascript frameworks for mobile devices (ie. http://www.jquerymobile.com , http://www.sencha.com/products/touch/ , etc).

Hope this helps.
