Can you confirm the contents of the following two folders (if they exist):

  • C:\Program Files\Java
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Java

C:\Program Files\Java exists and in it are folders jdk1.6.0_16, jre1.6.0_10, jre6 and jre7

There may be some conflicts between the multiple JREs, and there also may be an issue with the version of JDK1.6 in that there are versions that are quite a bit newer available.

 

If you don't have any specific requirements for those JREs, my recommendation would be complete uninstall of the existing JDK and JREs that you have, an d installing the latest 32-bit (Windows x86) JDK6 available here:
