Uniquely Identify a BB on web application

Hi,

This is my first post.I'm new to BlackBerry Developing and currently working on mobile web developing have not contribute to this community before .I do not know weather it is appropriate to ask a question without contributing but I hope community will not miss understand me.

Here is the challenge

I'm developing a mobile web applicaon.It is in web (ASP.Net) I use Java Script lot.I need to identify and register each phones which come in to my web application automatically.So I need to get unique ID of  the phone (IMEI) or something unique to phone.

Is it possible to use java script and do it without developing a client component(BB phone application) ?

I really appriciate your suggetion in this matter.

Thank you

<feature id="blackberry.identity.phone" />

<script type="text/javascript">
  var transportList = blackberry.identity.getTransportList();
  for (var i = 0; i < transportList.length; i++) {
    alert("Transport name is:" + transportList[i].name + "\ntransport type:" + transportList[i].type);

Re: Uniquely Identify a BB on web application

Thank you for quick reply

.But it is a web application (not a web work application ) for further clarification let say it is a web site (done by using ASP.Net).So end user get only the URL.Once user visit the link it should automatically retrieve the IMEI and record.
