My widget runs in the simulator but when I sign it and deploy it to a physical device I'm getting:
Error starting BlahBlah: Module 'BlahBlah' has verification error 190 at offset 0316 (codfile version 78)
The physical device is a Storm 9500 running 184.108.40.206 on Vodafone Ireland. The first time around I had just used bbwp.exe to do everything. When I got the above error I then used the /s option so that bbwp.exe would leave the generated source in place and then used JDE 5.0 beta 2 to build the .cod file. Same result though.
In another thread Tim Neil said that this error occurs with early builds of OS 5.0. My Storm is running an official build however.

Have you signed the program?
"You’ll need a code signing key to enable your application to run on a physical device"

I just sent you a private message with some details. Let me know the results

The issue is that both of those Operating systems have not been released. In the previous case, the OS was an early build provided to ISV partners and carriers.
The only solution is to get a newer version of the operating system from your Alliance partner.

I am also getting "verification error 190" on my blackberry device.
The OS version is: 220.127.116.11 (Platform18.104.22.168)
i am using Win XP.
I created simple blackberry widget containing only one html file with no feature in config.xml file.
The widget runs fine but gives verification error on actual physical device.

Which device is this OS running on? I don't remember RIM releasing a version of the 5.0 operating system with build 190.
Once I know the device model I should be able to chase the issue down.
