WebWorks SDK for PlayBook OS cannot be installed

Hi,

Please help me. I am trying to install WebWorks SDK for PlayBook OS; versiob 2.2.0.5. In the fourth stage of installation wizard, Adove AIR SDK has to be provided. As mentioned in the guide, I gave installation folder for AdobeAIRSDK 2.7.1. It says incorrect SDK. I tried with 2.5, 3.0 and 3.7. Can some please help me to get me the correct version.

Regards

Re: WebWorks SDK for PlayBook OS cannot be installed

I'm on 3.6.19 works fine so it sounds like a path issue

It is quite possible that the error reported is now what it says it is

Check your path - not all of this is required (som is Droid)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Nmap;C:\apache-ant-1.9.0\bin;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25\bin;C:\dev\adt-bundle\sdk\tools;C:\dev\adt-bundle\sdk\platform-tools;C:\Users\s\AppData\Roaming\npm

You need to reboot for the stuff to take effect

Thanks for your comment. But I do not see anything related to Air SDK in your path.

Re: WebWorks SDK for PlayBook OS cannot be installed

OK - likely got rid of the first issue

Try creating a batch file (build.bat)

set JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_25
..\..\bbwp %1 -g <password> -d -v -buildId %2

You will need to alter the path of JAVA_HOME

Place this file in a new directory called bars in....

C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry WebWorks SDK for TabletOS 2.2.0.5\bbwp\bin\bars

Stick your password in the batch file

Almost done

Now zip up an app and dump it in bars

Drop to a DOS prompt and type....

build testapp 1

The number needs to increase on every build as I'm explaining signed builds

When that works you need to isntall it on something

I feel your pain - it took me a whole day to get to a resiliant build system

Re: WebWorks SDK for PlayBook OS cannot be installed

I appreciate your help. But the question is "how to install PlayBook SDK" and not "how to install an app".

Re: WebWorks SDK for PlayBook OS cannot be installed

I could resolve the issue. I was working on Windows8 system. When I tried to deploy in Windows7 it worked. Both of the OS are 64bit, JDK 1.6 32 bit.
