I'm using webwork app to develop my blackberry APP. It's working properly on Balckberry smartphone simulator 9800 with OS 6. But I need it to be compatible with OS5 for a small number of users who'll be using older devices. As far as I'm aware, WebWorks should work on OS5, however I have created pkg (myapp.cod) and added on simulator 9700 with OS 5 but cannot load widget on this simulator . the widget doesn't show on the OS5 simulator (it works fine on the OS6 simulator).
Could somebody tell me the reason behind this issue?
Thanks in advance.

I got one sample from below url. It's working properly on simulator 9800 for OS 6.
But when I tried this on simulator 9700(OS 5) or other simulator using OS 5 then It is not showing sample 'Hello world' widget on screen.
I think webwork also support OS 5 .

I have a simular situation. Compiled a .cod of my HTML5 app with recent WebWorks SDK 22.214.171.124, and wondered what OS versions it would actually run on. Could not find that documented anywhere
Tested it on the 9800 v6.0.0 sim, and it basically worked.
Tested it on the 9700 v5.0.0 sim, and could initially not find the app installed. After some searching in the simulator itself, I found my app which I added with menu "File - Load Java Program" under "Downloads" (folder icon inbetween Games and Setup) instead of Applications where you would expect it. Maybe that happened to you too.
Anyway, is there a list somewhere of what WebWorks SDK versions are compatible with what OS versions? Is it nowadays still possible for instance to develop a WebWorks app which can be used on OS 4.5 devices such as the 8300 Curve model?

I had the same problem!
What I did to remedy this is I made a webworks app that launches index.html in a public folder in my dropbox - that way I can drop the app framework into the dropbox folder, and it will load using the app I made to launch it specifically (hope that makes sense!). It should work just as well to do it using a server url as dropbox (better maybe). It's not as fast as having all the files in the app (have to load all the resources from the web) but it works better than compiling over and over because the simulator doesn't work.
If anyone wants I can give more detailed instructions with pictures and **bleep**.
