You're going to start a big debate with this post Smiley Happy

I've used Aptana myself, it was great, free, nice to use.

Currently I'm using Sublime Text 2 - http://www.sublimetext.com/

-Lots of plugins available

-Clean UI

-Seems quick and light on system resources

I'm a dreamweaver person...  Thats not free though, but always worth it.

But there is also:

http://www.microsoft.com/Web/webmatrix/ - Free

http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/downloads - visual studio express for web - free

http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

If it helped you, click like. Smiley Happy

I've never found anything as powerful and efficient as WebStorm, which is a cross-platform IDE.

If you have large projects and auto-complete, external libraries support, refactoring and automation are important to you, then take a look at WebStorm.

I use it for

HTML5, Node.JS, Sass, JSLint/JSHint, Google Closure Compiler, HAXE
